RESTORATION

1.The First Phase of immediate repair and conservation as agreed in 2009, and in partnership with, English Heritage, and thereafter:

          2. It is essential that within the next five years that the Roof is renewed; which will also provide an opportunity to insert a layer of insulation between the new roof and the lathe and plaster ceiling which also need a great deal of remedial work.

          3. All stonework to be re-pointed and crumbling stonework replaced, extraneous plants and other vegetable matter growing out of the stonework removed.

          4. All windows to be sealed both internally and externally to provide better insulation and make the windows vandal proof. (The windows have suffered a great deal from damage, particularly over the last few years, and the current arrangements using metal wire protection is neither sufficient nor satisfactory.

          5. Other items in the Quiquennial to be addressed.

          6. The Organ to be fully restored.

          7. The Bells and Clock Tower to be enhanced.
